Karl Rove backs Sharron Angle
At least that is what Brent Budowsky who blog on The Hill says. Budowsky writes:
Honorable Tea Party voters might ask why Karl Rove has thrown his corrupt, Bush-style politics behind the Sharron Angle campaign for Nevada senator. Honorable Tea Party voters might also ask why Angle comes to Washington, in virtual secrecy, hidden from Nevada voters, to meet with old-style Bush-friendly Republican insiders to study the tricks of the dirty political trade.
Then he adds:
Sharron Angle is just a political kook who takes weird positions on issues and has been seeking high office unsuccessfully in the past. Can any serious person believe that abortion causes breast cancer? Even many Nevada Republicans are running away from Angle.
I really don’t think Sharron Angle will make it to the Senate. She appears to be a “happy warrior” but she is way too far out in right field to succeed in November.

Wall Street Reform
Senate Democrats reportedly has the 60 votes to pass Wall Street reform. Even some Republicans are joining into the vote to pass the bill.
Republican Senators Olympia Snowe (Maine) and Scott Brown (Mass.) announced their support of the bill. Republican Senator Susan Collins has said she is inclined to support the bill.
The 2,315-page conference report is the second major legislative overhaul, after healthcare reform, that has been approved by the Democratic Congress. The legislation aims to prevent future taxpayer-funded bailouts; would boost regulation over credit cards, mortgages and other products; regulate the $600 trillion derivatives market; and increase oversight of broad financial system risks, among other measures.
Democratic Senator Russ Feingold is expected to vote against the bill. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Wash) who previously voted against the bill says she will now support it.
But, Senator Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) is still on the fence hasn’t decided yet.
Could it be that some “progressive” Republicans are willing to depart from the party of NO?
