No wonder I’m a Democrat. Between Republican Senators Jim Bunning of Kentucky and Jon Kyl of Arizona it is easy to reject Republicanism.
Kyl, Bunning and the remainder of the Republicans in the Senate are holding up unemployment benefits for workers.
Kyl argued that unemployment benefits dissuade people from job-hunting “because people are being paid even though they’re not working.”
Spoken like a man who’s never lifted a bale of hay, or dug a ditch with a shovel, or shoveled s___t out of a barn. What a sorry sack he is.
He also said, “Unemployment insurance ‘doesn’t create new jobs. In fact, if anything, continuing to pay people unemployment compensation is a disincentive for them to seek new work.’” How would he know?
