Nevada leads the nation in so many ways. Here is another.
Out of 55 metro areas in the nation Las Vegas is one notch away from being the dumbest city in America. The only place dumber, The Daily Beast said, is Fresno, Calif. “We’re looking for the brainiest cities, not the biggest.”
Daily Beast used two sets of criteria: “education” and “intellectual environment.”

Is it really that hard to believe? My fiancee and I are always commenting on this here in Vegas. Can’t complain too much though because it makes us look smarter!

Moved here 30 years ago from Denver (#5 smartest city). No question Vegas is the dumbest city in America.
I could have told you that ten years ago before any criteria was developed for this ranking.
