Engaging in public issues online

Public Agenda Public engagement is a process that brings people together to address issues of common importance, to solve shared problems, and to bring about positive social change. Effective public engagement invites average citizens to get involved in deliberation, dialogue and action on public issues that they care about. And, it helps leaders and decision makers better understand the perspectives, opinions, and concerns of citizens and stakeholders.

Public Agenda offers a range of online tools for public engagement – either as stand-alone approaches or in addition to larger projects with face-to-face community conversations – which we tailor to your specific needs. Online engagement and participation has matured over the last couple of years and today we can utilize a wide variety of methods to create a productive dialogue focused on problem solving rather than ideological in-fights.

It is a step toward achieving civil deliberation about policy issues, local or national. Check it out.

The Nevada Center for Public Policy Dialogue uses the approaches that Public Agenda supports. We invite all citizens of Pahrump and Nye County to come to the workshops sponsored by Great Basin College.
Purpose: To introduce and broaden the understanding of community citizens to the Issue Forum format and encourage their use of dialogue to address issues of public concern.
