Nevada Chapter of Organizing for America Activity

Organizing for America Subject: Health Care Reform Activities This Week

Hello Everyone,

Though Congress is on break throughout the month of August, our efforts on health care reform must continue. We need to be consistent and stronger than ever. The H.R. 3200 bill passed its final committee hurdle late Friday night and is set to go to a floor vote when Congress reconvenes in September.

So we wanted to remind you that Organizing for America – Nevada is hosting multiple health care reform activities in Las Vegas and Reno/Sparks for the duration.

Tomorrow is President Obama’s 48th birthday and Stand With President Obama day. Please wear your Obama gear throughout the day and then join us for phone banking in the evening.

Las Vegas: Phone banks every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8pm until reform is passed. For details and to RSVP, go to: http://www.facebook.com/l/;my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gpf5zx

And in Reno/Sparks, volunteers collect signatures at the Sparks Farmers’ Market every Thursday. For details and to RSVP, go to: http://www.facebook.com/l/;my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/healthcareorganizingevent/gpfh4b

If you’d like to plan an activity of your own, please contact Jennifer Lopez or Evan Sutton at nevadaofa@gmail.com, and they will make sure you have all of the information you need to make your event a success.
