Introduction to Internet for Genealogy Class at Great Basin College

I will be teaching a class at Great Basin College in Pahrump, Nevada during August, 2009. The classes will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. each Saturday during the month. Computer and Internet connections are provided during the classes. Interested students can register at the college or online at the Great Basin College website or at the Pahrump Campus at 551 East Calvada Boulevard, Pahrump.   • CBO just admitted that its 250 professional economists have yet to figure out the full cost of the bill the committee is marking up today.
  • This is a massive unfunded mandate that will increase billions in new taxes on working Americans.
  • Approximately 114 million Americans will lose their health insurance under the Democrats’ plan.
  • The proposed government run health care program is estimated at $1.5 trillion or greater.

JPMorgan Chase $2.7 billion profit

JPMorgan Chase Posts $2.7 Billion Profit

JPMorgan Chase reported net income of $2.7 billion in the second quarter, a 36 percent rise from a year earlier, as it reported record fees from its investment banking unit.

The earnings, which exceeded analysts’ expectations, were the latest sign that the strongest banks were finding a bright patch in the midst of economic troubles and financial crises. [New York Times]

Goldman Sachs reported a $3.4 billion quarterly profit on Tuesday.


The banking industry seems to be doing quite well, thank you very much. Are your profits soaring? Have you hugged your banker lately? Do you even know a banker?
