As the country considers major reforms to the health care system, ABC News wants to hear from you. What question would you want to ask the president about health care? What story would you share?

It is a primetime event at the White House televised nationally.

The president will answer questions offered by audience members selected by ABC News who have divergent opinions in this historic debate, as well as some submitted via ABCNews.com.

ABCNews.com wants to hear from you. Please share your story by filling out the form below. An excerpt from your message may be used in a future ABCNews.com story or an ABCNews.com producer may contact you for more information.

You, yes you right here in Pahrump, Nye County, Nevada can weighin on the discussion. Just go here and do it now if you have something you wish to contribute.

The GOP is in a snit over the ABC special because they do not want reformation of healthcare which ranks 37th in the world. Even though 72% of Americans want a government sponsored health care plan. See GOP Against Public Health Care Option; Democratic Senators are Our Problem; Democrats may go it alone on healthcare reform; Beware of Democratic Healthcare Reform by Dean Heller; Freddie Krueger Healthcare; Healthcare for All Americans is a Constitutional Right; Healthcare Reform; Single Payer compared to Public Option; Public Option for Healthcare; Heller on Healthcare; Single Payer National Health Insurance.

The ABC TV special is a resource for you to learn about the healthcare reform effort. It is educational and a public service.

But the GOP isn’t interested in you learning about it. Congressional Republicans have formed a “Media Fairness Caucus” to combat what conservatives allege is the “liberal bias” in the media and their first target is ABC News. [Briefing Room-The Hill]

The GOP Caucus is composed of 40 members of the House of Representatives. The Caucus has sent a  letter to ABC complaining that ABC is giving the “American people a slanted view of an important topic” with the special.

David Westin, head of ABC News, isn’t taking the criticism of the GOP Caucus laying down:

He answered them in this letter. He refers to the GOP stunt as a “sorry spectacle.”

So, there you have it. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican the issue of healthcare reform in the United States is, or should be, of major concern to you. We all have been warned that unless something is done about healthcare in the U.S. is in real danger of going bankrupt. That means both Democrats and Republicans will taking a flying leap over the economic cliff into oblivion.

Healthcare reform is far too important to play politics with. I do hope you will join me this evening and watch the ABC special with rapt attention and a questioning mind. It is time to look out for yourself, not for  the profit status of the healthcare industry.

Finally, from a political point of view, beware of any politician that does not want you accurately and well informed. That kind of politician is not your friend, but your enemy.
