Last April 21 a 14 year old California went to Washington, D.C. to lobby Congress “to support House Resolution 252 which officially recognizes the Armenian Genocide.” [Asbarez.com]
The girl, Arev Hovsepian, wrote a story about her adventure. She describes what they did, who they saw, and the lessons she learned. Really a good story with considerate insight demonstrated by this young lady.
She even visited Congressman Heller’s office.
I learned something from her. She wrote, “I am proud to say that I am finally not just talking about that one amazing day when the world stops denying justice, but working hard to do everything in my power to make sure that that day comes as soon as it possibly can.”
The lesson? Learning not just to talk, but to act for what you believe in. A lot of Nye County Democrats would be well advised to learn that simple lesson as well.
