President Obama seeks our help

Throughout his election campaign President Obama repeatedly told us that to effect change in the way Washington does its business he would need our help. Yes he was speaking to us grassroots Democrats.

He is now seeking our support and assistance to pass his budget. It is an ambitious budget. He is rolling his entire plan into this budget. Energy, health care, and education. [My Barack Obama]

He knows he will meet fierce resistance from the Republican Party, Republican Senators and Congressmen/women. And even some Democrats I suspect.

Senators and Congressmen/women are scared to death of voters. They realize they hold positions of power. They like the power they hold and the ability to do things we ordinary voters can not. They do not want to get on our wrong side. They want to be re-elected so they can continue on in their power.

But our power, that is of all us grass roots voters, taken altogether, far exceeds the power of any individual elected to Congress.

Obama recognizes that grassroots power. He seeks our aid. I’m giving him mine. How about you?
